Customers have enjoyed the buffet for three years now, according to Manager Sinar Abdul, and it has proven to be very popular among the many Muslims who would like to break their fast without waiting so long for the food to arrive.
The buffet’s big appeal – according to Sinar Abdul – is the fact that the diners will never have to leave their table for the main course. “The only time they have to make a trip to the buffet table is when they want to get their starters or desserts,” he said.
“Normally, at most buffets, you would have to keep getting up to get more food. But here, all the meat items will be served for you on your table, and they will keep coming.”
Diners can select from 18 different types of skewered meat that will all be served almost immediately. “The record breaker was this person who ate 12 different types of BBQ skewers in a sitting,” said the manager.
From Aug 22 to Aug 27, between 11am and 11pm, diners will enjoy a 20 per cent discount off all a la carte items. From Aug 28 until the fasting month’s end, diners will also be able to get a 20 per cent discount between 11am and 5pm.
The Skewer Buffet is priced at $32.90 per head for adults, and a dollar for each year per child (below 12 years of age).
